Trisuli River

This river is originated from betrawati which is near the kathmandu city .it is about 150km long .many hindu people believe that trisuli river is created  by God.we can go there by using the  bus , car , bike  easily. It takes two hours from the capital of nepal kathmandu by vehicle.during rainy season the water level increases ,it means the flood comes then creates big problem .
we can ride boat and raft in winter season.many people in this area can swim.at the last it merges with narayani river in chitawan.this trisuli also connected bhotekosi that starts from khasa of china.this river is very powetful,many people loses their life during rainy seoson.futher more it joints with seti,budigandaki andmarsangdi river then it becomes very big.trisuli river flow near prithivi high way.hydroelectricity is produced from this river.

Majuwa river

This is also called khola in nepali language as it is comparatively smaller than other .it is not so long.It is originated from mountain and nil jungle situated at the top of village kuhun.It is flowing from the  demarcation line of two wards ratomata and purnagaun of kuhun village development committee.This majuwa river is branch of main river “Myagdi river” which is in the western part of distict.

Many people of kuhun vdc depend on this majuwa river for drinking water as well as in irrigation.But one of the thing is , due to natural process,it becomes very big in rainy season.Till now no one has produced electricity using this river.In some places ,grinding mills are constructed by local people.Here the probability of production of electricity is maximum,so we should  pay our attension toward  the majuwa river.we  can use this river in the development of kuhun vdc.This is our natural resource,if we are not ready to think about the proper utilization of it ,we will be back in development.

Saptakoshi River

   

    The saptakoshi river is one of biggest river in Nepal which consist of seven rivers. They are :

            Arun,tamor,dudhkoshi,likhu,tamakoshi, sunkoshi and indrawoti.Among these rivers arun and sunkosi  has originated from Tibet of china.othere originate by melting of ice or glacier.sunkosi is golden river where maji people collect gold in sand .this is also income source of people .besides this they have conducted boat and raft especially focusing for tourists.many hydroprojects have received liecese to produce electricity.the road has been constructed.all rivers flow throw plain area and at last merges together to form sapkosi river.but during rainy season ,the level of water in this river rises ,then it is converted into flood.as result many people of this are affected.at this time ,India also blocks the saptakosi which makes further danger and critical situation.many people are becoming houseless and landless.the people are arising loud sound but Nepal Government is not listening any thing why? This is question for Nepal government.It is so late to make dicision to solve problem.

Karnali River

It is known all over the world ,Nepal is second rich country in water.Nepal has many big and  small rivers.They  are either  originated from ice covered mountain or Tibet of  china.According to origination , they are catagorised into three groups they are Kosi,Gandaki and Karnali.

      Here is some detail description of karnali.This is also biggest one  and is situated in western part of Nepal.It consists of humla river ,mugu river,bheri river.Among  them humla river and mugu river start from Tibet of china .During  the  rainy season they becomes very begin in comparision to winter season.In rainy season the flood comes  and  as a result it destroys the human life and haman property and natural beauty.Nepal Government has made big hydropower center in this river many people of this region have been beniffited from electricity.This karnali river at last goes to India and merges with Indian ocean.Although Nepal has big rivers  but because of poor economical condition,nepali people has not been successful to generate sufficient amount of electricity.So we should make policies to withdraw the international investot in  hydroelectrical sector.

Seti River

The seti river is in in western part of Nepal  i.e. in pokhara.It is one of branch rever of nepal’s the biggest river Gandaki.This river has originated from  the Annapurna mountain.It is flowing through the city of pokhara.here  one of mysterious things is , the seti river becomes disappear and appear in some place near the city of pokhara which is main attraction of many people  the world.The electricity has been produced from this river and it has distributed throughtout the city of pokhara.At the last  it merges with kali river at Deoghat in Chitwan.This seti river is one of most important natural resources of pokharili people.By utilizing this water ,the city of pokhara is heading toward the development.Besides the production of electricity ,water of seti river has been used for drinking and  irrigation.Indeed,seti river is natural gift of God for people who live in pokhara..

Bagmati River

Bagmati river

The bagmati river is flowing through the heart of kathmandu valley which is the capital of nepal.The origin of this river is in bagdwar and it goes out side through chovar.In the very begining ,many old people say that   really!bagmati river was very pure and water was drinkable,there was not any problems like present time.

Now things have been drastically reversed.Nepal Government knowingly or unknowingly has concentrated many facilities in kathmandu .so most of people try to come here for education ,treatment,official,security etc.As result this area is over papulated.Lack of education and proper policies of government ,men are throwing their waste materials into Bagmati river so that it is polluted ,even water of this river is not suitable for irrigation too.Therefore it is time to think and do somethings to improve the bad condition of bagmati river.Then fistly we should make plan to purify water for drinking purpose,secondly generation of hydro-electricity from this river as our country is facing the loadshading problem .

Kaligandaki River

Kaligandaki river lies in western part of Nepal.It is also one of branch of saptakosi river.This river has started from the base of  Dhaulagiri mountain.It is also clean  and constanly flowing.many kind of fishes are found in this river.many tourists are rafting  mainly in winter season .many hydro projects are coming to generate  electricity to fillfil the demand energy in country.till now no party have produced electricity.I think that,it is best river to produce electricity as is not disturbed  even in rainy season.It has many branches like majuwa khola,fokse khola.

Likhu river

Likhu river is one of seventh river of saptakosi which is in east-north part of country.It starts from the base of peke.In the begining it was named as"Himganga".This is very big river,we can not cross easily.many bridges are made by British welfare projec in many places.Different hydr oprojects have been established,by which many people are getting electricity.likhu river is very clean and never be dried in winter seasion .If hydroprojects like likhu-1 ,likhu -2 so on, star , many people will get job oppertunities.This river is flowing in between okhaldhuga and ramechhap districts and mixed with duthkosi river.It begins from solukhumbo district and at last mixed in saptakosi  river.It has many branches like bhusinga khola originated from remote village of okhaldhunga district,similarly sapsu khola from ramechhap district
